Life is an unanswered question waiting to be solved ; yet our greater concerns can be demanding, and difficult to comprehend so we have tendency to neglect them. Instead we fill our minds with trivial sensations and glitter ourselves with comforts. We turn to religion ; we turn to art and music, philosophy and stories. Then when that isn’t enough, we gorge on temptations and bombard our minds until they are full of worries that drip from our ears like heavy jewels. We wear chains around our neck ans symbolic loops around our fingers. We frolic and flirt, gushing with tat, eating until we pop and drinking until we can’t remember.
Although underneath all that glitters, the world’s intricacies are constant hum, and no matter how much we try to evade them, we are vulnerable to a longing – a longing for meaning and intent. Distinct from our animal counterparts, we have the capacity for deep thinking, morals and a desire to innovate. We are rich with creativity, we crave interaction and posses a spiritual yearning to undercovering the meaning, we sometimes forget that simplicity holds the answer. In life, we can only be sure of one thing : that life will become death…And doesn’t care much for glitter.
