The Loop of the Buttes Chaumont is a manifest of the paradoxical approach of the artist to the conventional and mundane.
What first seems like a cinematographic trick turns out to be a radical gesture of violation of the natural human movement geometry, where artist leaves nothing to compromise. Film suggests that Status Quo may have a radically different viable alternative.
Single take 12 minute long video shows artist running the conventional runner’s track – 2.2 km loop along the edge of the park (park who has a history sometimes as dramatic as the history of Paris and Commune de Paris).
